We invite you to join the CA Cybersecurity Bootcamp & Hackathon Series
Mentorship Program as a mentor to support emerging cybersecurity talent in Kenya. This program seeks to bring together accomplished cybersecurity professionals and students from various tertiary institutions of learning in Kenya, as a knowledge transfer and career development support initiative.
The program’s thematic focus is the building of relevant and competent cybersecurity capacity to power Kenya’s digital transformation. The mentorship programme therefore seeks to pair students participating in the CA Cybersecurity Bootcamp and Hackathon Series with mentors in the field, who will work closely with the students in aligning their academic focus, passion and skills with the country’s cybersecurity capacity needs. This will also aid in facilitating career growth and networking opportunities for upcoming cybersecurity professionals.
The programme also seeks to foster a culture of strategic partnerships between academia and the pool of cybersecurity professionals in the country, with the objective of nurturing the upcoming generation of professionals in the field.
Mentors will guide mentees from various universities and colleges in the country from June to October 2023. As a mentor, you will participate in regular mentee-mentor sessions, monthly seminars, and an onsite workshop (Venue and Date to be advised). Please note that all program events will occur during regular office hours (9 AM to 5 PM), and the expected workload for mentors is 4-6 hours per month.

● Engage and support Kenya’s future cybersecurity workforce
● Share knowledge and expertise
● Expand your professional network
The selection of mentors will consider a diverse range of cybersecurity skills and expertise, the applicants’ readiness to participate in the mentorship program activities actively, and their commitment to fostering the career growth of mentees.
